The former Beresford Hotel is one of Glasgow’s finest Art Deco buildings. Constructed in 1937 fpor visitors attending the 1938 Empire Exhibition in Bellahouston Park, it was designed by William Beresford Inglis, who later went on to manage it. Having served time as a university halls of residence, it is now private apartments. The Beresford has an unexpected place in American 20th Century politics as it was here in 1939 that a 22 year old John F. Kennedy (the future US president), gave his first official public speech.
The print itself is 7.25 inches by 9 inches (18.5 cm by 23cm), and it comes mounted in a white 1.5 inch (3.5 cm) mount with a total size of 10 inches by 12 inches (25.5 cm by 30.5cm).
