The fifty-three metre tall Finnieston Crane on the banks of the Clyde in Glasgow. Built in the 1920s, this massive cantilever crane is one of only eleven surviving Titan cranes in the world, with four of them being on the Clyde. Originally known as the Stobcross No, 7 Crane, it was designed to lift steam locomotives made in the city into the holds of ships for export all over the world. This photograph was taken by Colin M. Drysdale at sunset, with the last rays of the sun lighting up the storm clouds behind it.
